# FractiFi > Tokenized deposit infrastructure for banks and financial institutions. FractiFi > provides tokenized deposits and atomic settlement so a bank's deposit can be > represented and settled on-chain while the deposit itself stays on the bank's > balance sheet. FractiFi does not hold or move customer money; banks do. FractiFi > is the on-chain coordination and representation layer. ## Core concepts - Tokenized deposit: a bank deposit represented 1:1 on-chain. The deposit never leaves the bank; only its claim moves. Distinct from a stablecoin, which is a claim on a private issuer backed by a reserve pool. - Atomic settlement (atomic DvP): cash and asset change hands together, or not at all, removing settlement risk and settlement windows. - Money stays on the balance sheet: FractiFi coordinates on-chain; the bank keeps the deposit, the customer, and the regulatory perimeter. ## Pages - [Home](/): overview of tokenized deposits and atomic settlement. - [Tokenized Deposits](/tokenized-deposits): what a tokenized deposit is, how it compares to a stablecoin, and how a bank issues and operates one. - [Blog](/resources/blog): insights and analysis on tokenized deposits, atomic settlement, and institutional finance. - [Contact](/contact): talk with the team or book a demo. ## Audience Banks and financial institutions (banks pursued first), jurisdiction-agnostic.
